The role of WebQuests in learning a foreign language

A WebQuset is an inquiry oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet . A WebQuest helps learners to focus on using information rather than looking for it and to support learners thinking at the level of analysis ,synthesis ,and evaluation. there are six parts of WebQuest. The Introduction ( is a means of providing the students with background information), Task ( description of what the learner will have done at the end ), Process (the teacher makes suggestions regarding the steps of discovery), Resources (pre-selected web pages the teacher has located to help the learners), Evaluation ( effectiveness of the WebQuest ) , and Conclusion. Teacher must analyze the needs of the students who will  be interacting with the WebQuset , and provide them with multiple levels of support within a lesson.

Finally, as a teacher I will use WebQuset in classroom. WebQuset will help my students to increase competency in the use of technology and to foster cooperative learning. I think it is a good tool to motivate students to learn more broadly.

The website include Microsoft word. And yes it is effective to both teachers and students. The website is interesting by providing songs, worksheets, creative writing, crosswords and flash cards. The website is helpful and useful for improve speaking, writing, reading, and writing. The website is difficult to use because it's not organaized. The font text's is differ and not spaced properatialy. The topics and links are confusing and not appear well to students and teachers. There is much of advertisements that make you annoying and not focused to what you want. The website is includes much of practices and worksheets but the problem is thatthat it's notnot organised properly well for learners. Normalisation of Bax in the Saudi Kingdom

Bax argues that, "Our aim should be to attain a state of `normalization' in which the technology is invisible and truly integrated" The article talks about the history of CALL which were divided by Warschauer:
·        Communicative
·        Behaviouristic
·        Integrative

I think we don't need a long time to achieve normalization, because people became develop mentally with the development of technology.
I believe that the new generation of teachers will depend on the new teaching methods and they will use technology , Because these teaching methods are easy and do not require effort from the teacher to explain and re-explain the lesson when students do not understand.

Challenges of creating web-based activites in Sally Morrison” Interactive lanaguge Learning on the Web

There are many difficulties for the teachers in creating web-based activity. The first one The teachers have no experience in technology. The second one is how the students access to computers and the problem of the connection speed at which they will be accessing activities. The last one is in creating online activity is disable and special need students they shouldn't be left out.

For me as a Saudi teacher, the first obstacle is that I do not have full knowledge that qualify me for the use of technology, because of that I'm thinking of taking a course to learn more about these things. The second obstacle may be I will face some students do not have the internet, in their homes.
