A WebQuset is an inquiry oriented activity in
which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from
resources on the internet . A WebQuest helps learners to focus on using
information rather than looking for it and to support learners thinking at the
level of analysis ,synthesis ,and evaluation. there are six parts of WebQuest.
The Introduction ( is a means of providing the students with background information),
Task ( description of what the learner will have done at the end ), Process (the
teacher makes suggestions regarding the steps of discovery), Resources
(pre-selected web pages the teacher has located to help the learners), Evaluation
( effectiveness of the WebQuest ) , and Conclusion. Teacher must analyze the
needs of the students who will be
interacting with the WebQuset , and provide them with multiple levels of
support within a lesson.
Finally, as a teacher I will use WebQuset in
classroom. WebQuset will help my students to increase competency in the use of
technology and to foster cooperative learning. I think it is a good tool to motivate
students to learn more broadly.
